Driver / Scheduler

Job Summary:

As a Driver/Scheduler, you’ll help keep our transportation services safe, reliable, and well-coordinated. You’ll schedule drivers, support daily transportation needs, and transport participants safely to and from their appointments.

This position is ideal for someone who is patient, precise, and comfortable working within clear procedures. You’ll be part of a stable, supportive team where accuracy, communication, and quality come first.

 

Hourly Wage:

$17.90 /hr. to start - $18.90 /hr. after 90 Days

 

Schedule:

First shift, full-time hours. Specific work hours will be established in consultation with your supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and coordinate daily transportation schedules.
  • Drive participants safely to and from medical appointments and the center.
  • Maintain accurate participant lists and update scheduling changes as needed.
  • Communicate participant needs, appointment updates, and status changes to drivers.
  • Coordinate outside transportation service providers and log required information into Pacelogic.
  • Use Tripmaster Scheduling Software for planning and routing.
  • Assign automated reminder calls for participants and caregivers.
  • Coordinate appointments and medication or supply deliveries as requested by the clinic.
  • Communicate vehicle maintenance needs to the Transportation Supervisor.
  • Schedule maintenance appointments and submit invoices for tracking and payment.
  • Conduct initial and periodic assessments as required.
  • Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Support the development of the IDT Plan of Care.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Monitor driver attendance, review PTO requests with the Center Manager, and ensure accurate payroll submission.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Less than 5 direct reports with the support of the Center Manager.

Requirements: 

  • Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, and TB screening 

 

Education and Experience:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • One year of experience working with the frail or elderly population preferred
  • One year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Valid state driver’s license

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move during working hours.
  • Must be able to lift or push up to 25 pounds with proper equipment.
  • May be required to lift, carry, or support participants.
  • Must be able to remain alert and responsive to participant safety needs.
  • May experience frequent interruptions during the workday.
